Types of Media (Lecture)


Print Media - a form of media wherein information is written in papers.

Broadcast Media - a form of media where information is shown through or shared to a lot of people. It is used for large-scale sharing of information.

New Media - a form of media that is in digital form and distributed in digital platforms. It is where print media and broadcast media work together.



  • New technologies help us to access and get information easily through different forms of media.
  • More communication sources such as facebook messenger that we can use to communicate virtually. Interaction is also seen in live video or voting.
  • Rappler gives news to people through internet. Inquirer and philstar, too. Live broadcast of SONA is a big help for us to get information and through its live airing, data/information can easily be gathered and shared.
  • People can now see the people or public in one click. People also become more knowledgeable as there is more access to information.
